Development Engineer
Job Summary
- Creates and compares alternative development concepts using clear evaluation criteria
- Performs iterations and capability tests to improve technical results and meet internal standards
- Uses and guides others in applying established engineering calculation tools
- Identifies technical problems and risks during testing and consults experts when needed
- Applies relevant design guidelines norms and internal directives effectively
- Acts as a test owner: performs key tests defines best practices updates templates and improves test infrastructure
- Investigates technical issues through collaboration and peer input to understand cause-effect relationships
- Updates test plans with additional lessons learned content and supplementary tests
- Prepares test plans in line with internal procedures ensuring timely and collaborative delivery
- Brings focus points into risk management discussions and aligns them with risk tools like FMEA or DRBFM
- Ensures all planned tests are executed or documents justified deviations and related action plans
- Follows Engineering Change Management processes throughout the development cycle
Qualifications :
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Energy Systems Engineering (MSc/PhD preferred)
- Deep knowledge of combustion thermodynamics and fluid dynamics
- Hands-on experience with combustion test setups
- Strong problem-solving mindset adaptable in agile environments
- Fluent in English confident in cross-functional international teams
- Clear communicator with a proactive and collaborative spirit
