Job Summary
Part-time Registered Nurse opportunity within a 24-bed Medical Telemetry unit specializing in the care of Hospitalist Medicine patients with a focus on renal and various medical diagnoses. The unit also serves gastrointestinal pulmonary and select surgical/procedural patients and is equipped to care for chronically ventilated patients.
The Registered Nurse assumes primary accountability for coordinating and delivering individualized patient care across the lifespan. This role requires strong clinical judgment delegation skills and a collaborative team-oriented approach to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes

Perform age-specific admission and ongoing assessments and develop individualized care plans
-
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members patients and families to implement and revise care plans
-
Administer and document medications and treatments accurately using electronic medical record systems
-
Identify and address patient and caregiver educational needs
-
Serve as a patient advocate and provide psychological social and cultural support
-
Apply knowledge of growth and development to deliver age-appropriate care
-
Demonstrate clinical expertise in rapidly changing patient conditions
-
Develop strategies to improve patient outcomes reduce length of stay and optimize resource utilization
-
Serve as a role model for clinical practice to coworkers students and physicians
-
Manage resources establish priorities and adjust the care environment to meet patient needs
-
Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives
-
Support orientation and mentoring of new employees
-
Provide constructive feedback and participate in unit and organizational activities
-
Assist with educational activities within the department
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or approved program eligible for licensure
Licensure/Certification:
-
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for RN licensure
-
AHA BLS-HCP certification required
-
Additional certifications (ACLS PALS NRP) may be required based on unit
