Search Group Solutions a leading law firm in Houston Texas is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Probate Litigation Associate to join our team. This is a full-time position with a partnership track offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
As a Probate Litigation Associate you will be responsible for handling a variety of complex probate litigation matters including will contests trust disputes and fiduciary litigation. You will work closely with our team of experienced attorneys to provide exceptional legal services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of probate litigation matters including drafting pleadings conducting legal research and attending hearings and trials
- Communicate with clients opposing counsel and the court on a regular basis
- Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda on complex legal issues
- Participate in client meetings and provide strategic legal advice
- Assist with business development efforts including networking and marketing initiatives
- Mentor and train junior associates and paralegals
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Texas State Bar
- 3-5 years of experience in probate litigation preferably in a law firm setting
- Strong research writing and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Business development experience is a plus
