Part-Time Faculty - Physical Geology with Lab (Lewiston Maine)

Statement: The University of Maine at Augusta is seeking qualified applicants to teach GEY 101: Physical Geology with a laboratory. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching and to developing an innovative curriculum. The course is taught using a variety of modalities including in-person & hybrid. The primary location for this position will be the UMA Lewiston Center. Required Qualifications:
- Masters Degree or higher
- A background in the physical sciences
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior college level teaching experience using new technologies in teaching
- Experience with learning management systems such as Brightspace
- Discipline related work experience
- Teaching non-traditional students
- Experience working with diverse student populations and interest in contributing to UMAs mission of transforming the lives of students
Salary:Salary is commensurate with qualifications and previous college teaching experience in accordance with the PATFA contract.
