Job Summary

The Aurora R-VIII School District is accepting applications for anIntro to Engineering position (Grades 9-12) for the 2026-27 school year. The applicant will possess an appropriate certification demonstrate a student-centered philosophy on education and be proficient in understanding quality instructional practices to increase student achievement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this position.

The successful candidate will demonstrate competency in utilizing the Engineering By Design CurriculumFoundations of Technology and Technological Design. The current classes emphasize materials tools and processes in wood fabrication. Also available for the program: 3D modeling software materials processing lab with traditional equipment (woodworking) CNC machine 3D printing and VEX robotic equipment. The Aurora R-VIII School District is a 4-day-a-week district Monday-Thursday. Benefits include: Board-paid health insurance stipend and paid sick/personal leave days.
