Job SummaryOur client is a Saskatchewan-based open-shop mechanical insulation company with
over 60 years of experience. They are currently seeking a motivated entry-level Mechanical
Insulator to join their team full-time.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable safety-focused and interested in
building a long-term career in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Install insulation on mechanical systems in commercial institutional and light industrial facilities
- Work safely at heights and in confined or tight spaces
- Handle and move materials on active construction sites (lifting up to 50 lbs may be required)
- Work closely with foremen crew members and other trades on site
- Follow company safety policies site procedures and direction from supervisors
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Highly organized and dependable
- Able to follow instructions and take direction reliably
- Physically able to perform construction-related tasks including lifting and moving materials
- Reliable punctual and safety-conscious
- Valid Class 5 drivers licence (or provincial equivalent) required
- Willingness and ability to travel and work outside Saskatoon
- Previous construction or commercial site experience is an asset but not required
Compensation Benefits and Hours:
- Starting probationary wage of $20.83/hour with opportunity to increase up to $45.60/hour based on experience and education
- Employer-paid enhanced health benefits after 6 months of full-time employment
- Opportunity to learn a skilled trade and grow within the company
- Typical shifts in Saskatoon are Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with overtime opportunities available as needed or Monday to Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. if work requires extended travel outside of Saskatoon. The company pays subsistence provides a company truck and covers accommodation costs.
