Job Summary

Environmental Health and Safety Advisor (EHS Advisor)

  • Monday to Friday 37.5 hours

  • 100% onsite

Catalents Nottingham facility focuses on early-stage development of small molecule drug candidates from the bench to clinic. This facility offers an array of services that support oral dosage forms that include characterization formulation and analytical development manufacturing and clinical packaging labelling and worldwide distribution. This MHRA approved facility includes cGMP dose form manufacturing packaging analytical and development laboratories with OEB 1-3 and controlled drug storage to handle even your most challenging products.

As an EHS Advisor you will support the daily management implementation and continuous improvement of our EHS systems and standards on site. You will be a trusted partner to the businesscoaching influencing and helping teams embed a strong safety culture.

This is a hands-on role reporting to the Manager HSE and will have broad exposure across laboratory pharmaceutical and operational environments.

The Role:

  • Play a key role in delivering our sitewide EHS strategy and keeping everyday safety practices running smoothly.

  • Champion continuous improvement by enhancing EHS processes systems and performance.

  • Coach and empower teams to effectively manage incidents investigations and rootcause learning.

  • Manage key stakeholders from across all areas of the site as well as the wider organisation

  • Lead engaging audits inspections and GEMBA walks that drive real safety awareness.

  • Support teams with risk assessments and ensure EHS documentation stays accurate and compliant.

  • Deliver impactful EHS training and inductions that strengthen our safety culture using creative and informative presenations.

  • Manage essential EHS platforms meetings and compliance activities that keep the site running safely.

  • Support emergency preparedness health surveillance and costeffective EHS planning.

The Candidate:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is desirable

  • Strong interest in health & safety and prior involvement in site based environmental health and safety initiatives

  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence at all levels

  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Access)

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Experience working in scientific laboratories or the pharmaceutical industry desirable
