How does your team look like
At Studyportals the Big Data & Business Intelligence Teamis responsible fordelivering quality data for the rest of the will be joining an existing team of fourmembers aBigDataTeamLeadreporting to the CTOtwoDataAnalyticsEngineersandaBI very smart people!BigData is part of the Product Engineering departmentthat isabout40 in willbe at thestrong foundationof the data-value will make sure all our data isalways complete andup to dateso that your colleagues can processthemanddistill insights from them. At theendthis will enable data-informed decisions across the business.
What are yourresponsibilities andtasks
- Design build and ownproduction-gradeETL pipelines with strong data quality guarantees
- Operate and evolveourAWS-baseddata platform (EMR Redshift GluezeroETL)
- Run and improvecore data tooling such as Airflowdbt Redshift and Grafana
- Ensure reliability in productionbymonitoringpipelines debugging incidents and preventing recurrence
- Shape data architecture and infrastructure contributing toInfrastructure-as-Code
- Optimizeperformance and cost efficiencyacross the data stack as data volumes grow
- Enable the business with trusted datathat iswell-documented secure and easy to use
- Act as ago-toexpertfor data engineering topics and decisions across the company
Requirements
What are we looking for
Must-haveexperience
- 3 years ofhands-ondata engineering experience in production cloud environments
- Strong Python (PySpark) and SQL skills with a focus on clean maintainable code
- Proven experience building andoperatingreliable scalable ETL pipelines
- Solid experience with AWS and modern data stack tools such as Airflowdbt andFivetran
- Strong understanding of datamodelling incremental loading and data quality practices
Nice to have
- Experience hosting andmaintainingdata tools and infrastructure
- Experience with streaming data processing and/or online tracking solutions
- Experienceoptimizingwarehouse performance and managing cloud costs
