AtStudyportals the Big Data & Business Intelligence Teamis responsible fordelivering quality data for the rest of the will be joining an existing team of fourmembers aBigDataTeamLeadreporting to the CTOtwoDataAnalyticsEngineersandaBI very smart people!BigData is part of the Product Engineering departmentthat isabout40 in willbe at thestrong foundationof the data-value will make sure all our data isalways complete andup to dateso that your colleagues can processthemanddistill insights from them. At theendthis will enable data-informed decisions across the business.
What are yourresponsibilities andtasks
- You designbuildand take ownership of robustand scalableETL pipelines with data qualityin the data with AWS systems likeEMRRedshift zero-ETL and Glue
- Youoperateand continuously improve our modern data platform. Youmaintainand upgrade tools like AirflowdbtRedshiftand Grafana.
- You ensure reliability and high data quality in production. You keep an eye on pipeline health and cloud services assess incidents confidently.
- You actively shape our cloud infrastructure and architecture. You contribute to Infrastructure-as-Codeand confidently challenge architectural decisionsforsustainable solutions.
- Youoptimizeperformance and cost efficiency across our datastackandproactively think about scalability as our data and business grow.
- You empower colleagues with great data. You support stakeholdersprovidetrusted secondopinionsto the whole team and ensure our data assets are secureanddocumented.
Requirements
What arewe arelooking for
- 4or moreyears of hands-on Data Engineering experience in production cloud environments
- Strong Python(PySpark)and SQL skills with a focus on clean maintainable code
- Experience with modern data stack tools such as AirflowFivetrandbtandAWS
- Proventrack recordbuilding andoperatingrobust scalable ETL pipelines
- Strong understanding of data modeling incrementalloadingand data quality practices
- Having experience with streaming processingis a plus
- Experienceoptimizingwarehouse performance and managing cloud costs
- Analytical mindset with a focus on root-cause thinking and sustainable solutions
- Ownership mentality with the confidence to challenge architectural decisions
- Imlooking for an excellentcommunicator. Someone with a positive and proactive mindset (love it change it or leave it). You are dedicated and you never give up
- Fluent in English we are a strongly international team with 40 nationalities in-house!
