Summary:

Under direct supervision identifies patients at nutritional risk plans and implements medical nutrition therapy for assigned populations.

Responsibilities:

Assesses patients nutritional status and needs. Develops and implements care plans monitors patients progress and updates interventions. Completes thorough and timely documentation of patient sessions in the electronic health with the Food Service department to provide nutritionally appropriate menus food options and services for and provides patient education training consulting and counseling services throughout the with physicians nursing pharmacy and other healthcare team members and departments to determine coordinate and provide medical nutrition therapy. Communicates plans of care with patients and their families when nutrition focused physical examinations and collaborates with the physicians on malnutrition diagnoses when appropriate.

Masters (Required)Dietitian/Nutritionist License (ND LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL) Registered Dietitian CDR Certification (CDR) - Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate Work Experience: No experience Information: Additional Education Info: Degree in Dietetics Nutrition or related field.A minimum of a bachelors degree is required for those individuals that are registered or have established eligibility for the registration examination for dietitians on or before December 31 2023.A minimum of a masters degree is required for those seeking eligibility for the registration examination for dietitians for the first time on or after January 1 Credential Info: Registered Dietitian CDR Certification or Registration Eligible RDN and obtain registration and FL Dietitian/Nutritionist license within six (6) months of hire.
