JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for planning coordinating and implementing a comprehensive English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program in one or more schools and for ensuring that students are receiving required services in the classroom which includes meeting with students one on one supporting teachers delivering services in the classroom and providing guidance to staff and administration on ESOL programs.
EDUCATION TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
- OR
- Approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program
- Valid Florida Educators Certificate or District-issued adjunct certification
- OR
- Valid statement of eligibility
FOR SECONDARY EDUCATION ONLY
This position may require you to teachan additional periodbeyondyour base contract. Should this occur you will receive additional compensation at the effective negotiated ratein addition to your base salary for instructing this additional period. This additional amount will be paid as a supplement and will be disbursed in equal payments based on the Districts established payroll calendar for this position. This amount is considered part of your salary for Florida Retirement System purposes.
