Your responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end handling of cargo damage loss and liability claims across air road sea and contract logistics operations.
- Assess claim validity liability and financial exposure in accordance with applicable laws conventions contracts and internal policies.
- Coordinate investigations with internal stakeholders operational teams insurers brokers surveyors legal advisors and other external experts.
- Review transport documentation contracts terms and conditions and insurance policies to support claim decisions.
- Negotiate settlements with customers carriers insurers and other third parties.
- Ensure timely communication with claimants and internal stakeholders throughout the claims lifecycle.
- Monitor claims reserves and settlements ensuring accurate reporting anddocumentation.
- Maintain and update claims files within relevant claims management systems.
- Identify trends root causes and recurring issues and provide recommendations to reduce future claims exposure.
- Support audits internal reviews and reporting requirements related to claims handling.
- Provide guidance and expertise to operational teams on claims prevention and risk mitigation.
Our requirements
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in claims handling within the transport and logistics sector.
- Proven experience managing claims across multiple transport modalities: air road sea and contract logistics.
- Solid understanding of international transport conventions (e.g. CMR Montreal Hague-Visby) liability regimes and contractual frameworks.
- Experience working with insurers brokers surveyors and legal advisors including regular interaction with lawyers insurance companies brokers and surveyors.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex liability scenarios.
- Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken) with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both contexts.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume complex claims portfolio.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Comfortable working in an international cross-functional environment.
