Job Description
As a Security Officer / Emergencey Medical Technicianin Detroit MI you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. As an Allied Universal Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine patrols stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents and provide clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post supporting mobile patrols and quick response across the site. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by following post orders security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including contacting appropriate site contacts and/or public emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas tank farms loading and unloading points administrative spaces and perimeter areas with working conditions that may vary by location and shift.
- Control access by verifying identification managing vehicle and visitor entry and directing deliveries and contractors according to site rules.
- Complete detailed security-related reports and activity logs document unusual conditions and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- EMT Certification is required.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
