Provide strategic operational and managerial leadership for the Universitys accounts payable expense reimbursement and payment functions. Oversee daily operations through the Accounts Payable Team Leads ensuring accurate timely and compliant processing of invoices expense reports and payments. Establish and enforce policies procedures and internal controls to safeguard University assets and maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Serve as a senior subject matter expert for complex high-risk or sensitive accounts payable and payment issues. Collaborate with other members of the Controllers Office (e.g. University Accounting Treasury Management Payroll Services etc.) Procurement Office of Sponsored Research Administration and campus leadership to drive process improvements system enhancements audit readiness and continuous service excellence.

Qualifications
Required Education and Qualifications:
- Associates degree or completion of program of 18 months after high school.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and comprehensive accounts payable expense reimbursement and payment operations
- Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise staff through subordinate leadership including performance management coaching and employee development
- Strong operational and analytical skills with the ability to oversee complex transactions resolve escalated issues and exercise sound judgment in policy interpretation
- Proficiency with enterprise accounting or ERP systems (e.g. Workday Oracle) and related business applications with the ability to support system configuration process improvement and reporting needs.
- In-depth understanding of internal controls segregation of duties and compliance requirements within a financial operations environment.
- Strong leadership organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet institutional deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with campus partners senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives and support change management efforts.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive financial and personnel information with discretion and professionalism.
