Job Description
As a Security Officer - Main Entrance Check-In in Mukilteo WA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an Access Control Security Professional at an aerospace and defense location you will help manage entry points by checking credentials screening visitors issuing badges and documenting activity using a computer and/or tablet. You will maintain a visible presence conduct routine rounds near controlled areas and communicate clearly with employees and guests to help support a secure workplace. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to client personnel and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures verifying identification and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
- Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobby checkpoints by issuing and collecting badges managing visitor logs and assisting with screening requirements as directed by site policy.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner following post orders and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas including building entrances restricted corridors and the perimeter while monitoring for unusual activity and reporting concerns.
- Complete required reports and documentation such as incident reports access logs and shift activity summaries and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
