This is a fully onsite role based at our GMP Lab in Middleton WI. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this position and any relocation costs will be the responsibility of the candidate.

Join our Supply Chain team as a Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler III at Thermo Fisher Scientific where youll contribute to optimizing production schedules and inventory management to support our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier cleaner and this role youll develop and maintain production plans that balance customer demand with manufacturing capacity while ensuring efficiency and resource utilization. Youll work collaboratively with Planning Operations Quality Procurement and Project Management teams to support schedule stability and continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires analytical skills and strategic thinking to optimize complex manufacturing processes while maintaining high service levels and managing inventory targets.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Industrial Engineering or related field or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job (comparableto 5 years) or equivalent.
  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred

In some cases an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education training and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong understanding of MRP principles capacity planning and inventory management
Experience with Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP/S&OP) processes
Demonstrated ability to analyze data and optimize production schedules for efficiency
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
Strong collaborative and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-oriented environment
Experience with production scheduling software and manufacturing execution systems
Strong problem-solving abilities and process improvement mindset
Knowledge of GMP and quality systems preferred
Project management experience preferred
Ability to work independently
Experience guiding schedule adherence and resolving conflicts
Experience developing and maintaining planning parameters and master data
Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics reporting
