Supply Planner

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role you will be responsible for Supply Planning and Procurement at ABB Motion High Power in New Berlin WI where you will be a key member of the Supply Chain Management team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager you will manage short- to midterm material availability by working closely with our suppliers as well as our sourcing planning and fulfillment logistics quality and production teams.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid in New Berlin WI.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Secure material availability by proactively managing the supply network.
• Manage supplier performance (on-time delivery quality lead time) and resolve
  performance issues.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a stable and
  reliable supply of materials.
• Coordinate and monitor open purchase orders; reschedule orders when needed.
• Manage supplier buffers and optimize ABB inventory.
• Proactively work with Planning and Fulfillment to optimize MRP strategies and
  parameters (planning strategy lot size safety stock reorder point rescheduling logic).
• Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on inventory status delivery schedules and potential issues.

Qualifications for the role:

• Education in Supply Chain Management Logistics Operations Engineering or equivalent with 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in using SAP or other ERP software as well as MS Office Suite.
• Experience building strong external relationships.
• Strong data analytics with Continuous Improvement mindset.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills in a multicultural global business environment.
• A collaborative solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken
  communication skills.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of assembly and manufacturing processes preferred.
• Experience with Power BI Tableau or similar data analytics tool.
