Make a Difference
The Oncology Nurse Navigator will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team for timely identification of patients needs and ensure coordination of patient services. They will educate on disease processes and will monitor and coordinate care for patients. The Oncology Navigator will help facilitate members access to services throughout the healthcare continuum by supporting with available resources for seamless care coordination. This position is located at the Community North Cancer Center.
Community Health Network MD Anderson Cancer Center is a partnership between Community Health Network and MD Anderson Cancer Center one of the worlds largest and most respected cancer centers. The partnership formed in 2022 elevated a prior affiliation between Community and MD Anderson Cancer Network a program of MD Anderson. This new partnership represents a full clinical and operational integration of Communitys cancer services with MD Anderson across all five of Communitys sites of cancer care.
Community MD Anderson is one of a select few partners with MD Anderson a global leader in cancer care and the only partner in Indiana.
Your exceptional skills
Two years or more of Oncology nursing experience. OCN certification preferred but not required upon hiring.***OCN or ONN-CG certification required within timeframe established upon hire.***
- Three years of nursing experience. Five years is preferred.
- Epic Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred.
- An Oncology clinical background and genuine interest in or a connection to the Oncology healthcare industry is preferred.
Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN) Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing or three years of related professional nursing experience. Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). BSN preferred.
