Job Summary

Salary: $93929 plus 17% superannuation plus annual leave loading

Position: Full-time 12-month fixed term (potential extension subject to funding)

Location: Hunter Medical Research Institute (Interstate travel required)

About the Role

In this role you will support two international adaptive platform trials - SNAP (0.6 FTE) focused on improving treatment for Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infections and ROADMAP (0.4 FTE) aimed at optimising surgical and antibiotic approaches to prosthetic joint infections. As a Clinical Research Associate you will coordinate a portfolio of Australian trial sites and contribute to highquality trial delivery across both studies.

Your responsibilities will include ethics and governance submissions site setup and training agreements documentation development and ongoing site communication. You will also conduct clinical trial monitoring through central electronic data capture (EDC) systems and onsite or remote visits.

Reporting to the Global Clinical Trial Managers you will support recruitment performance ensure compliance and act as a key liaison between participating sites and the Trial Management Groups.

The position is based at HMRI in Newcastle with travel to study sites and interstate travel required.

About You

You are a proactive and wellorganised clinical research professional with experience coordinating or monitoring multisite clinical trials. You communicate clearly and professionally build strong relationships with site teams and work effectively across complex projects.

You bring a high level of attention to detail strong organisational skills and confidence managing documentation tracking of study activities ethics and governance processes and data quality.

To be successful you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in clinical or life sciences health nursing or research
  • At least two years multisite clinical trial experience in an academic CRO or pharmaceutical environment
  • Experience across trial startup conduct and closeout
  • Demonstrated clinical trial monitoring experience
  • Excellent written verbal and interpersonal skills with tact and sound judgement
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Current GCP certification (or willingness to obtain it)

Experience with adaptive trials EDC systems site training and a current drivers licence are highly desirable.
