Job Summary: | The Department of Clinical Laboratories Blood Bank at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/per diem Clinical Lab Technologist 2. The successful candidate will: - Perform all aspects of Blood Bank testing including but not limited to: ABO/Rh Typing Crossmatching Antibody Detection and identification with appropriate follow-ups.
- Maintain quality control of equipment and reagents.
- Manage meticulous record keeping and utilize follow-up skills.
- Demonstrate flexibility as duties and responsibilities are not limited to the above position description.

Required Qualifications: | - New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or eligible to apply for licensure.
- Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Medical Technology Chemical or Biological Sciences.

Preferred Qualifications: | - ASCP certification.
- Prior Blood Bank work experience.

Work Schedule: | Variable Days; Variable Hours (Hourly/Per Diem) |
