Deliverables:

• Participate in business requirements walkthroughs.
  
• Analysis of business requirement documents and liaison with clients.
  
• Development and design of new mid-tier applications or enhancement to existing ones in a DevOPS focused environment (current environment: IBM WebSphere IBM Liberty Jakarta EE Java EE Oracle and DB2 / new environment: Angular or Java SpringBoot Cloud computing).
  
• GITHub Cognos Report creation
  
• Preparation of automated deployment builds (Jenkins)
  
• Creation and walk-through of Systems Response documents Technical Specifications and Implementation Plans.
  
• Coding/Unit Testing/Documentation
  
• Coding of payment programs including new and existing.
  
• Preparation of test plans test data and unit-testing of programs.
  
• Preparation of implementation plans and promotion of programs.
  
• As assigned response to client queries and trouble-shooting of production incidents.
  
• Updates to key knowledge transfer documents such as the Claims System documentation and the Overview of Architected Payment Systems.
  
• Conduct/participate in design walkthroughs as well as test case and test results walkthroughs.
  
• Support testing of the changes by other team members.
  
• Weekly reporting on status progress and key issue/concerns as directed by the Project Lead or Sr. Project Manager.

• Experience working in the public sector on web-based multi tier solutions both legacy-monolith and cloud-based.
  
• Experience with OPS architecture design and development best practices.
  

Analytical Skills/Experience:

• Analyzing business requirement documentation.
  
• Developing system responses or other analysis and design documents with traceability to meet client business requirements.
  
• Analyze document and resolve incident tickets.
  
• Designing solutions that meet business / system requirements conducting design reviews and seeking approval.
  
• Developing (code) as designed and participating in code reviews.
  
• Supporting the testing process by resolving identified bugs and collaborating as required with system testers.

• Experience working in a Java / Jakarta EE development environment
  
• Experience working in Java JSP Servlet Servlet XML HTML SOAP Angular Spring boot
  
• Experience with unit testing software build deployment and configuration
  
• Experience with development tools such as Eclipse VS Code and IBM RAD
  
• Knowledge of the Accessibility for Ontarians Act (AODA) and experience implementing AODA compliance
  
• Knowledge of the Ontario Design System
  
• Experience with Oracle DB2 and SQL
