Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced Software Engineer specialized in Relationship-Based Pricing (RBP) Billing and Loyalty systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing implementing and maintaining product solutions aligned with organizational objectives. This position offers an opportunity to influence pricing and billing strategies through technical excellence ensuring innovative secure and high-performance systems that support our clients retail corporate and banking operations.

Software Requirements

• Required:

  • Proficiency in SQL PL/SQL stored procedures triggers and functions within Postgres and Oracle databases

  • Experience configuring and maintaining business rule engines in pricing billing or loyalty domains

  • Java programming skills (Java 8 preferred) for backend development

  • Unix/Linux shell scripting for automation and system management

  • Report designing tools and techniques for business reporting

• Preferred:

  • Experience with additional database systems or scripting languages

  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices for CI/CD pipelines

Overall Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable reliable pricing billing and loyalty systems in line with business requirements.

• Configure and optimize business rule engines to support pricing and billing processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system enhancements ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

• Follow best practices in coding security unit testing and documentation to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Research and benchmark emerging technologies to recommend advances in system architecture.

• Ensure rigorous adherence to architectural standards and best practices to uphold system integrity.

• Actively engage in Agile development cycles participating in planning reviews and retrospectives.

Technical Skills (By Category)

• Programming Languages:
  Required: Java (8) Unix Shell Scripting
  Preferred: Additional scripting or programming languages such as Python or JavaScript

• Databases/Data Management:
  Postgres Oracle including SQL PL/SQL stored procedures triggers and functions

• Cloud Technologies:
  Cloud deployment or integration experience (preferred but not mandatory)

• Frameworks and Libraries:
  Business rule engines reporting tools Java EE components relevant to pricing and billing

• Development Tools and Methodologies:
  Version control (Git) Agile/Scrum practices CI/CD pipelines report designing software

• Security Protocols:
  Knowledge of industry-standard security practices and data privacy considerations

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in software development with at least 3 years focused on product implementation in relationship-based pricing billing or loyalty systems.

• Proven track record in deploying and maintaining complex pricing and billing solutions in financial or retail sectors.

• Experience working in Agile teams and participating actively in all phases of product lifecycle.

• Preferably has worked with banking or retail industry terminology and processes.

• Alternative experience pathways include extensive hands-on experience in related domains such as financial services or enterprise systems.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop update and optimize pricing billing and loyalty system components.

• Configure and maintain business rule engines for pricing and loyalty strategies.

• Collaborate with product owners business analysts and other technical teams to specify system requirements.

• Perform unit testing debug issues and deploy fixes efficiently.

• Document system designs rules and processes to ensure clarity and maintainability.

• Research technological trends recommend improvements and incorporate best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related discipline.

• Industry-relevant certifications in database management scripting or related fields are advantageous.

• Proven experience with relational databases and system configurations supporting pricing and billing products.
