Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Lancaster CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Allied Universal Officer at a government rail and transit location you will conduct routine patrols remain highly visible and help identify and report security-related incidents. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card or license. You will deliver friendly customer service clear communication and timely documentation while supporting a caring people-first culture. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to riders visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents alarms and service requests in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalating conflicts and contacting appropriate public agency partners when required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms station buildings parking areas and perimeter routes to help to deter prohibited activity and identify hazards maintenance concerns and policy violations.
- Control access points as assigned by checking credentials monitoring entrances and directing foot and vehicle traffic in accordance with posted rules and site instructions.
- Complete detailed patrol logs incident reports and shift handoff documentation and communicate observations promptly to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 1 or more years of security experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
