Overall Purpose
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for planning managing and delivering complex technology and regulatory projects within the financial mortgage sector. This role will need to ensure alignment with strategic objectives timely execution of deliverables and regulatory compliance including initiatives that require direct client engagement and collaboration. The successful candidate will play a critical bridging role between internal technical teams and external regulatory stakeholders ensuring end-to-end transparency and quality in delivery.
What will you be doing
- Managing multiple project workstreams simultaneously including both technical and business-focused projects.
- Manage the project teams through documentation and delivery phases working through both Waterfall and Agile processes. Oversee the development testing and deployment of new systems and enhancements to existing systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients managing communications providing project updates and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Coordinating project planning risk management change control and status reporting processes.
- Identify assess and mitigate project risks. Proactively address and resolve project issues escalating to senior management as needed. Develop and implement risk management plans to minimise potential disruptions to project timelines and deliverables.
- Ensuring full documentation and audit-readiness in collaboration with compliance teams.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
- Work closely with the Development Manager and AWS Manager to ensure projects are aligned with the companys technology strategy and architectural standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key business and change stakeholders.
- Ensure regulatory change initiatives are interpreted accurately and translated into clear technical and operational deliverables.
- Collaborate with Risk and Compliance teams to support internal and external audits.
- Track and report on benefits realisation ensuring projects deliver measurable business value post-implementation.
- Lead post-implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions to drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management within the financial services or mortgage sector.
- Proven experience managing software development lifecycle (SDLC) projects with methodologies such as Agile Scrum and Waterfall.
- Strong background in dealing with Banking institutions particularly mortgage sector.
- Excellent stakeholder management (up to Board level) and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Experience managing project budgets timelines and resourcing plans.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Azure DevOps MS Project and/or similar.
Preferred Skills:
- Formal project management certifications such as PMP PRINCE2 or Agile Scrum Master.
- Familiarity with mortgage origination and servicing systems.
- Ability to develop and manage detailed project plans including scope timelines budget and resource allocation. Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex project issues. Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

- Engages with external regulatory bodies and financial partners.
- Oversees budget allocation resource planning and vendor engagement.
