Planning & Environmental Solicitor
The Role
We are hiring for our client a market-leading law firm in Dublin who are seeking to recruit a Planning & Environmental Associate (2 PQE) to join their highly regarded and growing team.
This is a rare opportunity to join a top-tier practice advising on the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious planning and environmental matters. The team acts on some of the most significant infrastructure renewable energy and development projects in Ireland and is regularly involved in high-profile judicial reviews and Commercial Court litigation.
You will gain exposure to complex high-value disputes and strategic advisory mandates within a collaborative and progressive environment.
The Team
The team advises a broad client base across the public and private sectors including boards developers energy providers and in-house legal teams. Their work spans:
Judicial review proceedings
Commercial Court litigation
Regulatory investigations and enforcement matters
Environmental risk and compliance advisory
Planning challenges linked to major infrastructure and renewable energy projects
The team is known for combining strong litigation expertise with strategic advisory capability delivering commercially focused and practical legal solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting partners on complex planning and environmental matters
Managing a blend of contentious and advisory files
Drafting detailed legal opinions and court documentation
Advising clients on regulatory risk and compliance issues
Engaging directly with clients and managing stakeholder relationships
Assisting with business development and profile-raising initiatives
The Person
2 years PQE in planning & environmental law
Experience across contentious matters (judicial review experience desirable)
Strong drafting and analytical skills
Ability to manage matters with minimal supervision
Commercially aware and client-focused
Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
