About the Role

CENTRIX Control Solutionshas an immediate opening for an experienced Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) / Pressure Safety Valve (PSV) Service Technician based out of our Edmonton facility.

For over 60 years CENTRIX Control Solutions has been the authorized assembler and distributor of Consolidated PRV products across Western Canada. We are proud to operate a Consolidated Green Tag Center (GTC) - a designation held by a select group of facilities recognized for meeting the highest global standards in PRV assembly testing and repair.

The GTC network is considered the premier pressure relief valve service organization in the world and this role offers the opportunity to work within a highly specialized environment.

Heres a Snapshot of How Youll Contribute to Our Team

Valve Assembly Testing & Repair

  • Assemble and test new Consolidated PRVs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and applicable code requirements

  • Shop service & repair of all manufacturer PRVs through our VR Program
  • Inspect disassemble measure service and test equipment

  • Utilization of calibrated measurement devices

Documentation & Systems

  • Complete service documentation inspection records and traceability requirements accurately

  • Data Entry utilizing Centrix based computer programs (ValvKeep and ERP/BAR 90)

  • Maintain quality documentation in accordance with company procedures and industry standards

Shop Operations & Customer Support

  • General shop maintenance and up-keep including storage equipment clean-up and shipping/receiving as needed
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas tools and test equipment

  • Communicate professionally with customers vendors and internal team members

  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs

  • Frequent standing walking reaching bending and use of hand tools

  • Ability to work in a shop/industrial environment

Who Were Looking For

  • Previous PRV/PSV service or valve repair experience
  • Valid Class 5 drivers licence

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability

  • Comfortable using computers and basic Microsoft Office programs

  • Willingness and ability to travel for manufacturer training

  • Ability to meet customer site access requirements including drug & alcohol testing

Preferred / Assets

  • Technical or trades training (millwright instrumentation machining or related mechanical field)

  • Experience using calibrated measurement devices

  • Machining or lapping experience

  • Completion of manufacturer training on Consolidated PRVs

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a quality-controlled environment
