Reimagine Whats Possible
We are seeking a Generated Gas Supervisor for the 250T ASU located in Petersburg VA. The facility produces gaseous oxygen liquid oxygen and crude argon.
The Site Supervisor will be part of a two-person team supporting all aspects of day-to-day plant operations. Responsibilities include customer and business interfacing safety and environmental compliance maintenance budgeting and employee training. The successful candidate will be required to develop a detailed understanding of all aspects of site operations distribution and maintenance activities with a strong emphasis on leadership. Effective communication and strong organizational skills are critical for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Management of the sites Basic Safety Process and Process Safety Management with a focus on the companys efforts to strive to a goal of zero injuries.
- Ensuring environmental compliance in accordance with Air Products Corporate and Governmental Regulations.
- Understanding safe operating design and permit limits.
- Supporting all aspects of the day-to-day operations to include troubleshooting plant process problems supervising daily plant activities and handling plant projects.
- Identifying maintenance concerns; then developing and implementing corrective measures with the maintenance team as well as carrying out site preventive maintenance and mechanical integrity programs.
- Implementing and sharing best practices.
- Investigating incidents and near misses which includes understanding and correcting the root cause of failures.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- A degree in engineering or in a technical field is a plus but not required. Applicable experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
- 5 years of relevant operations/maintenance experience in an industrial plant is preferred.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- A self-starter with confirmed leadership skills and ability to develop talent.
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Strong administrative/digital literacy
- This is a safety sensitive position.
