Job Title: Respite Caregiver (Part-Time)

Schedule: 2 Hours per Week (1 Day per Week)
Position Type: Part-Time / Flexible

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Respite Caregiver to provide short-term relief to a primary caregiver. Services are provided in the clients home and focus on ensuring the clients safety comfort and well-being during scheduled respite hours.

This position is ideal for someone seeking limited consistent weekly hours.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and companionship to the client

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed (toileting grooming mobility assistance)

• Prepare light meals or snacks

• Assist with medication reminders (no administration unless certified and authorized)

• Engage client in meaningful activities (conversation games light exercise etc.)

• Ensure client safety at all times

• Light housekeeping related to client care

• Communicate any changes in client condition to the office promptly

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience preferred (home care CNA DSP or similar)

• Ability to pass background check

• Reliable transportation

• Compassionate patient and dependable

• Ability to follow care plans and agency policies

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand walk bend and lift up to 25 pounds (if applicable to client needs)

• Ability to assist with transfers if required

Compensation

• Hourly rate based on experience

• Paid training (if applicable)
