Job Description
As a Security Officer - Driving Role Patrol in Southfield MI you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will be a friendly point of contact for tenants visitors and staff using clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license that meets AU Driver Policy requirements supported by a caring integrity-led team.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants visitors and staff by following Allied Universal post orders property policies and security-related procedures including emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
- Respond to alarms calls for service suspicious activity and critical incidents in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with site contacts and public responders as needed.
- Control access where assigned by monitoring entry points verifying authorization issuing visitor directions and maintaining orderly lobby and common-area activity.
- Complete detailed shift documentation such as patrol logs incident reports and inspection checklists and communicate noteworthy activity to site management and the Allied Universal leadership team.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
