Job Summary
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Subcon Sourcing Manager to join our External Manufacturing Back-end team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing subcontractor relationships negotiating contracts and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality services from subcontractors. Candidates for this role should possess a combination of technical knowledge strategic thinking and effective
communication and negotiation skills.
What you will do
Management:
Identify evaluate and select subcontractors based on capabilities performance history and alignment with project requirements.
Responsible for execution of the Back-end sourcing strategy in selecting categorizing and developing supply base to provide best in class external solution.
Provide input into stakeholder scope of requirements by offering commercial suggestions.
2. Cost Management:
Drive cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation value engineering and continuous cost monitoring.
Collaborate with subcontractors to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
Monitor market trends and implement strategies to maintain cost competitiveness.
3. Contract Negotiation:
Negotiate and finalize contracts with subcontractors ensuring favorable terms pricing and conditions.
Accountable for preparation conclusion and execution of all commercial/pricing related contracts with the suppliers in order to cover Nexperias risks.
Work closely with legal and procurement teams to address contractual requirements and compliance.
4. Supplier Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors fostering collaboration and addressing any performance issues promptly.
Maintain close relationship with suppliers key account manager to ensure proper deployment of Nexperias requirements at supplier and be the focal point for any escalations towards supplier.
Conduct regular performance and business reviews and implement improvement plans as needed.
5. Risk Management:
Identify potential risks associated with subcontracted services and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and ensure continuity of supply.
What you will need
Bachelors degree in business supply chain management engineering or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in subcon sourcing procurement or supply chain management with a focus on the semiconductor industry.
Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes products and the specific services provided by subcontractors.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with subcontractors internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues in a proactive and systematic manner.
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
Collaborate effectively with the Nexperia team and suppliers across regions and remotely.
Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time.
