Job Summary

At Epworth Geelong in Waurn Ponds you can choose to work full-time or part-time in the ICU providing evidence-based nursing care for a complex patient cohort.  You will care for patients across cardiovascular neurosurgery bariatric complex surgical and medical cases.  Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager you will be part of a respectful and supportive ICU team that enjoys challenges and has high levels of job satisfaction.

You will make an impact by:

  • Evaluating and monitoring your patients progress
  • Identifying sudden or subtle changes in your patients medical condition
  • Caring for patients needs throughout their recovery in the ICU
  • Creating and implementing effective care plans
  • Being the information conduit between doctors patients and patients families

You enjoy collaborating with team members and patients to create an exceptional patient experience. Focused on positive patient outcomes you are professional compassionate and empathetic in your personal conduct. Holding confidence in your own abilities and a willingness to learn you can work autonomously and show initiative to identify tested or innovative patient-centric solutions.

Position Description           Inherent Requirements

You will have:

  • Minimum 4 years ICU Nursing experience  
  • Current nursing registration with AHPRA
  • Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing
  • Solid understanding of health information structures and technology
  • Availability to work day and night shifts including on-call participation

The annual salary range for full time Registered Nurses AUD $82236 - $103280 super entitlements depending on registration type year level and position (prorated for part-time).
