The Team Youll Work With:
The Mayors Office of Mass Engagement (OME) is responsible for strategizing coordinating and executing on engagement that reaches the masses of everyday New Yorkers. We engage New Yorkers in shaping policy outcomes demystifying government and ensuring that the government remains accountable to serving the people of this great City. Our work is designed as a long-term project we are building the power of everyday New Yorkers and we are building a City that works for all of us.

The Problems Youll Solve:

The Deputy Director Co-Governance responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Develop and facilitate internal Co-Governance training to build interagency understanding of co-governance best practices and alignment for transforming relationships with the community moving from engagement to empowering communities to govern with the Administration.
-Develop and facilitate external training to build the capacity for community organizations and communities to engage and drive mass governance projects and campaigns.
-Support interagency partners to build capacity for establishing formal structures that bring base-building organizations into the inception and implementation of co-governance initiatives.
-Provide support to the Organizing and Campaigns teams to execute training and campaign activities that advance co-governance goals and deepen community participation in City government.
-Research and evaluate the effectiveness and capacity of current co-governance programs across city agencies.
-Provide timely and comprehensive evaluations and assessments of Co-Governance projects including analysis of outcomes and recommendations for capacity growth.
-Other duties as required.

Qualifications :

-Bachelors Degree required.
-3 years of experience.
