Job Summary

Our church... is a non-denominational multi-site church with four St. Louis-area campuses where we gather each weekend to study this ancient story found in Scripture that is still transforming lives today. We believe church should be a place where believers in Jesus and skeptics can stand side-by-side to study truth and ask tough questions. We blend teaching and worship with art and technology to create a service where you can experience the message of Jesus in practical and life-changing ways.

Kids Summer Intern...is a full-time summer position is designed for anyone interested in increasing their knowledge and experience of leading in childrens ministry. This intern will get hands-on experience in building teams executing various aspects of weekend programming and in-depth insight into the operations of running a childrens ministry program. This position also provides opportunities for spiritual and personal growth as part of the summer internship. The summer internship runs from May 26 2026 through July 31 2026.


ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn how to plan and execute weekend programming from nursery through elementary environments
  • Learn about the different roles involved in executing weekend programming and get hands-on experience by participating in those roles
  • Learn the process for onboarding a new team member and experience the execution of onboarding someone during weekend services
  • Learn the basics of building caring for and empowering a team of volunteers and participate in the execution of these disciplines
  • Become familiar with process for welcoming and registering 1st time visitors
  • Participate in kids staff meetings and any other meetings invited to attend
  • Use allotted time to invest in your own personal and spiritual growth
  • Meet with your supervisor regularly (supervisor will set schedule)
  • Build relationships with staff team members children and parents
  • Complete all tasks as assigned by supervisor

  • Good time-management skills

    MUST HAVES FOR ALL STAFF AT THE CROSSING

    • Attend a service at one of The Crossing campuses on a weekly basis
    • Passionate about their relationship with God
    • Baptized after making the thoughtful decision to follow Christ
    • Regard the Bible as Gods final authority in all areas of Christian life and desire to be wholly obedient to it
    • Wholeheartedly affirm The Crossings Statement of Faith including our view on Baptism
    • Live a lifestyle consistent with scriptural principles
