We are looking for a motivated selfdriven DevOps Engineer to join the Virtualization Engineering team. This role focuses on building and operating enterprisegrade Devops pipelines and lab infrastructure that support scalable onprem and cloudnative VM lifecycle management an Software engineer 3 you will design build and operate reliable Devops platforms that enable engineering teams to deliver secure highquality software at scale. You are expected to work independently on welldefined problem areas collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams and drive operational excellence.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Design implement and maintainDevops pipelinesthat enforce structured development workflows and ensure branch and build stability.
- Manage and optimize build systems forefficient compilation packaging and artifact management across multiple products.
- Ensure high availability and reliabilityof Devops pipelines; respond with urgency to pipeline failures and service disruptions.
- Continuously improve pipeline performance stability and developer development practicesinto Devops pipelines including vulnerability scanning and policy enforcement.
- Explore and integrateAIassisted toolsinto Devops workflows with a focus on improving engineering efficiency and quality.
- Ensurehigh availability and operational health of lab infrastructuresupporting Devops and validation workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and pipeline issues across with platform virtualization and product teams to support endtoend delivery pipelines.
Required Qualifications
- Strong handson DevOps experience with:
- Devops pipeline design and management
- Shell scripting and Python
- Jenkins and/or Zuul
- Handson experience with Git/Bitbucketand JIRAas part of a structured development workflow.
- Strong experience withDocker and Kubernetesin build test or deployment pipelines.
- Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and hypervisors such asKVM or Xen is preferred.
- Solid problemsolving skills with the ability to debug and resolve production issues.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a crossfunctional engineering environment.
- Clear oral and written communication ofstorage concepts and protocols such as NFS and iSCSI.
Education
- Bachelors degree with 46 yearsof relevant industry experience or Masters degree with24 yearsof relevant industry experience.
