Job Description
As a Security Officer - Flex ID Badging in Sterling VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies access control protocols and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Manage access to a technology-focused location by verifying identification issuing and/or tracking visitor credentials maintaining entry logs and assisting with delivery and contractor check-in processes.
- Monitor alarms cameras and access control systems and report irregular activity per post orders to help support a controlled facility environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including medical events fire alarms unauthorized access attempts and/or technology-related disruptions and complete required documentation.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter checking doors gates and restricted areas for policy compliance and reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Guard card/license is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
