Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid.

TheLeadMedical Materiel Specialist III shall include but are not limited providing supervision and overall operational responsibility for medicallogisticsfunctions to include advanced medical supply chain activities and biomedical equipment include managing medical supply operations such as ordering receiving inventory control warehousing customer support and the operation ofmaterielhandling equipment. The role also encompasses report development andlogisticsanalysis.

The position requires experience within a healthcare or healthcare-support environment and a comprehensive understanding of Medical War Reserve Materiel (WRM) and Force Health Protection (FHP) program management as well as execution of Class VIII medical supply sustainment within an ECMM MMIS/DMLSS assemblage management isrequired.

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities

Plans directs and manages medical supply chain operations including procurement inventory management storage distribution and replenishment of Class VIII medical materiel.

Maintains accountability readiness and sustainment of Medical War Reserve Materiel (WRM)in accordance withestablished allowance standards ensuring materiel availability to meet mission requirements.

Ensures all medicallogisticsoperationscomply withapplicable Air Force Department of Defense (DoD) and federal laws regulations policies and guidance.

Oversees the management of WRM assemblages and kits including inventory configuration control storage buildingactivationreadiness and sustainment.

Develops and manages WRM acquisition plans and deferred procurement programs in advance of funding allocation to support readinessobjectives.

Administers theShelf LifeExtension Program (SLEP) to include serving as the SLEP Monitor whenrequired conducting monthly SLEP and DMLSS inventory reviews and providing required reports to the Contracting Officers Representative (COR).

Conducts inventory audits self-inspections and quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy regulatory compliance and operational readiness.

Utilizes Medical Materiel Information Systems (MMIS) Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) and Allowance Standard Management Systems(ASMS) tomaintainaccuraterecords update quality assurance data and manage assemblage accountability.

Manages controlled and sensitive medical materiel including identification marking secure storage accountability and compliance with controlleditemand Controlled Cryptographic Item (CCI) management requirements.

Ensures proper storage handling and distribution of medical materiel including hazardous refrigerated flammable and temperature-sensitive itemsin accordance withregulatory guidance.

Verifies incomingmaterielfor accuracy quantity and condition; researches and resolves shipment discrepancies; and coordinates corrective actions asrequired.

Receives evaluates and executes hazard alerts and recall notices; inspects affected inventory; documents actions taken; updates information systems; and performs required disposition actions.

Develops inventory scheduleslogisticsactivation checklists and continuity documentation to support contingency response and operational readiness.

Prepares and delivers briefings to Medical Readiness Committees and senior leadershipregardingmateriel status program compliance and readiness of assigned contingency projects.

Provides strategic readiness reporting andlogisticsanalysis to support leadership decision-making and operational planning.

Serves as the vendor-contracted Air National Guard (ANG) Influenza Program Manager responsible for logistical oversight of vaccine storage inventory management distribution and compliance with applicable guidance.

Provides customer support to supported units and stakeholders ensuringtimelyandaccuratefulfillment of medicalmaterielrequirements.

Evaluates andoptimizessupply chain processes to improve efficiency reduce waste and enhance responsiveness to mission needs.

Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure integrated medicallogisticsplanning and execution.

Maintains requiredcontinuityfiles for WRM SLEP MC-CBRN and related medicallogisticsprogramsin accordance withestablished policy and regulatory requirements.

Ensurescompliance with occupational safety standards including demonstration and enforcement of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage.

Packages palletizes and ships medical materielin accordance withtransportation and cargo certification requirements including segregation of special handling items.

Maintains required certifications and licenses including materiel handling equipment (MHE) operation and cargo certification.

Performs duties independently at single-location sites exercising sound judgment and accountability with minimal supervision.

Communicates effectively at all organizational levels andmaintainsprofessional working relationships.

Performs travel both inter- and intra-state (approximately 2550%) asrequiredto support mission execution and programoversight.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

This position has supervisory responsibilities toinclude:interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Travel
This position requires occasional travel (25-50%).

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in businesslogistics or a related fieldORa minimum of ten (10) years of medicallogisticsexperience required.

Medicallogisticsexperience must includesupervisory responsibility and overall operational oversightof functions such as Ordering receiving and inventory managementrequired.

Warehousing and materiel handling equipment operations required.

Reporting andlogisticsanalysisrequired.

Oversight of biomedical equipment maintenance management activities required.

Experience supporting medicallogisticsoperations within a healthcare or healthcare support environment required.

Demonstrated knowledge of medical War Reserve Materiel (WRM) Force Health Protection (FHP) IMAHR program management and Execution of Core Medical Mission (ECMM) for Class VIII sustainment required.

Medical Materiel Information System (MMIS) assemblage managementexpertise; ability to serve as a vendor-contracted ECMM Lead or Supervisor required.

Priorlead management or supervisory experience required.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored visa support

Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance eligibility.

Experience using Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) preferred

Advanced degree in a related field preferred.

Experience with Department of Defense preferred.
