About the role.
As a Process Engineer yourexpertisewill drive the safe reliable operation and maintenance of our processing closely with the Maintenance Planner and Maintenance Supervisor the role ensures all site services work and statutory checks and processing repairs or refurbishment are completedtohigh standardsand on Process Engineer supports safe reliable plant operation contributes to seasonal repairs and offseason refurbishment and provides qualified shift coverage when required.
This position operates on a 4 days on / 4 days off rotating shift pattern with 12-hour shifts from 06:00 to 18:00. From time to time you will be expected to cover Maintenance Fitter shifts (06:00 to 18:00 and/or 18:00 to 06:00) at short notice ensuring seamless plant operation during both production and off-season periods.
What youll be doing.
Overseeing and completing maintenance for site services and processing equipment.
Conducting daily defect and out-of-spec inspections and completing weekly safety valve testing.
Maintainingaccurate complete maintenance records and promptly reportingany gaps or incomplete work.
Planningand supportingseasonal repairs off-season refurbishments and breakdown repairs tomaintainproduction continuity.
Planningand coordinatingquarterly and annual shutdowns for boilers and refrigeration systems.
Planning ordering and managingchemical supplies and monitoringwater quality for essential plant systems including boilers refrigeration trade waste cooling towers pumps caustic and sump systems.
Ensuringsump pumps are routinely serviced and remain operational.
Verifyingcontractor testing (fire pumps) completingBWOF checks and ensuringplant room and ammonia system PPE ismaintained.
Ensuringall maintenance activitiescomply withANZ standards applicable regulations and internal frameworks.
Coveringshifts asrequired where appropriately qualified.
Whatyoullneed to be successful.
Minimum3 years experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment
Apprentice-trained with a relevant trade qualification
Boiler experience including start-up andshut-down; valid ticket for unmanned systems
Practical experience with ammonia refrigeration systems
Strong computer literacy and data analysis skills
Knowledge and experience of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement programs
Ability to work independently or collaboratively efficiently prioritisingtasks
SAP/CMMS skills
Commitment to workplace health and safety
Desirable: Experience with industrial services Lean manufacturing (TPM 6 Sigma) civil/building worksexposure.
