Job Description
As a Security Guard - Unarmed Route Patrol in Long Island City NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a residential location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will document observations respond to concerns and communicate clearly with residents staff and visitors while delivering helpful customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to residents guests and/or staff by following site-specific procedures access control expectations and security-related protocols.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout residential buildings common areas parking areas and perimeter locations; document observations and report concerns.
- Respond to incidents alarms and/or resident concerns in a calm problem-solving manner escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.
- Monitor entry points and community activity for unusual conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access trespassing and/or property damage; address issues within post guidelines.
- Complete detailed reports patrol logs and incident documentation; communicate status updates to supervisors and/or oncoming officers during shift transitions.
Minimum Requirements:
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
