- at least three years of experience of working as Registered Nurse
- valid certificate in ACLS/ BLS Safe medication Administration Intravenous Cannulation and Conscious Sedation

Position: Nurse Instructor Department of Paediatrics
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
- assess learning needs of nursing staff and ensure nominations and attendance for continuing education offered by Nursing Education Services (NES) IT & HR departments
- develop plan of training conduct formal and informal sessions and evaluating effectiveness of the same in units
- coordinate with NES for the implementation of division-wide nursing educational programmes
- develop and ensure that specialty-based annual educational sessions are conducted as per monthly educational plans
- ensure completion of the Competency-Based Orientation (CBO) of new staff within established timeline
- monitor credentialing of nursing staff and nominate them for re-credentialing if required
- meet with clinicians to discuss patient care treatments regimens and quality issues as per needs
- develop courses and modules to enhance staff competence maintain and monitor clinical indicators and special assignments
- assist supervisor in setting annual goals and objectives related to staff development of assigned areas and design strategies for nurturing of first lines Nurse Instructors in units
- participate in establishing standards of care with unit staff and monitor delivery of care according to the set standards such as patient safety quality of care healthcare associated infections policies procedures protocols and patient centered care
- conduct clinical reviews and liaise with NES and School of Nursing and Midwifery for it
- certify and supervise the clinical performance of the interns and staff
- perform the required clinical tasks depending on the patient acuity and reinforce unit division and policies and procedures
- maintain and keep the record of all clinical incidents and follow-up for its timely closure
- consult with the supervisor on a periodic basis for staff development-related activities and issues.
