Job Summary
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical FP&A Analyst to support the Finance team in managing and analyzing large datasets for monthly MIS and business reporting.
This role is ideal for someone with 2 years of experience in a fast-paced startup environment who is comfortable working with raw data building structured reports and generating insights that support business decision-making.
The incumbent will work closely with Finance Business and Operations teams to ensure accurate timely and insightful reporting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Monthly MIS & Reporting
Assist in preparation of monthly MIS reports for leadership.
Consolidate financial and operational data from multiple sources.
Ensure data accuracy reconciliation and consistency across reports.
Support variance analysis (Actuals vs Budget vs Forecast).
2. Data Handling & Analytics
Extract clean and structure large datasets for reporting and analysis.
Automate recurring reports wherever possible.
Identify trends anomalies and key performance drivers.
Support dashboard development for management reporting.
3. FP&A Support
Assist in budgeting and forecasting exercises.
Support cost tracking revenue tracking and business performance analysis.
Work with cross-functional teams to gather inputs for planning cycles.
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required by the Finance team.
4. Process Improvement
Improve reporting efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Suggest data validation and control mechanisms.
Standardize MIS formats and documentation processes.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High comfort working with large datasets
Advanced Excel / Google Sheets proficiency (mandatory)
Experience with SQL / Power BI / Tableau / Python is a plus
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in an unstructured startup environment
Good communication skills to explain numbers clearly
Qualification & Experience
Experience: 2 years in FP&A / MIS / Business Analytics / Data roles (startup exposure preferred)
Academic Qualification: BE / B-Tech / Data Analytics
MBA (Finance / Analytics) is a plus
