Job Title:Pharmacy Retail Supervisor
Location:Peridot AZ (Local candidates preferred)
Employment Type: Contract (Potential for Full-Time Conversion)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Retail Supervisor to oversee daily pharmacy operations within a hospital-based setting in Arizona. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence regulatory compliance staff development and high-quality patient service.
Local candidates are strongly preferred due to the possibility of full-time conversion.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution

PharmD preferred; PGY1 residency preferred

Minimum three (3) years of pharmacist experience

At least two (2) years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred

Supervisory experience overseeing pharmacy technicians
-
Current active and unrestricted Pharmacist license (Arizona license preferred)
-
BLS certification within 90 days of hire
-
No disciplinary history
-
Must successfully pass background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications

Five (5) years of professional experience with at least two (2) years in a management role

Licensed to administer immunizations vaccines and emergency medications
-
Strong leadership and operational management background
Key Responsibilities

Direct and supervise daily administrative and retail pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with professional regulatory and governmental standards

Develop and monitor operational and financial performance metrics
-
Implement and evaluate departmental policies and procedures
-
Lead continuous process improvement initiatives
-
Supervise mentor and evaluate pharmacy staff to promote professional growth and performance excellence
-
Oversee pharmacy information and dispensing systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy
-
Manage purchasing and inventory control to maintain cost-effective and timely pharmaceutical availability
-
Prepare monthly operational reports identifying trends and areas for improvement

Participate in hospital quality assurance initiatives staff training and continuing education programs
