As a Locum Hospitalist you will play a crucial role in managing patient care collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical services. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and treatment plans
- Manage a diverse patient population with various medical conditions
- Collaborate effectively with nursing and healthcare teams
- Conduct rounds and document patient progress accurately
- Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and best practices
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Stay current with medical advancements and protocols
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Board certification in Internal Medicine preferred
- Experience in a hospitalist role is an advantage
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Active medical license in the state of practice
Schedule: Tuesday-Monday 7a-7p
Daily Census: 4-5 admissions
Duties:Admissions cross-coverage and responding to codes (ER MD will run the code)
Will also cover small/open ICU
No procedures required
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
