This role is responsible for supporting external communications and social media with a particular focus on raising the profile of Hato Hone St John and keeping our people public and stakeholders connected and informed. This is a busy and dynamic working environment where no two days are the same!
- Coordinate the daily media summary ensuring stories about Hato Hone St John are captured and delivered to key stakeholders.
- Manage daily incident enquiries and participate in after-hours external media responses for major events or issues if required.
- Support the External Comms team to identify and generate newsworthy PR material or contribute to issues or crisis management as required.
- Support the creation of high-quality communications materials such as media releases and editorial support.
- Coordinate the development and delivery of social media content plans and campaigns working closely with the communications team brand and marketing team and stakeholders across the organisation.
Qualifications :
Ko wai koe - About you:
- A degree in communications media or relevant discipline with subsequent relevant experience or relevant practical media or communications experience ideally in an NGO or service organisation.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills capacity to work independently and prioritise workloads.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail whilst using a variety of traditional and emerging communications channels.
- Knowledge of the media industry digital campaigns and social media skills.
- Calm confident and professional phone manner and good relationship building / networking skills.
- Self-starter and proactive.
