As a Junior Software Test Engineer you contribute to the quality and reliability of our robotic solutions. You ensure that new software functionalities are not only technically correct but also user-friendly and stable in real-life environments.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary Scrum team within Product Development dedicated to one specific Lely product. Together with Software Engineers Product Owners and fellow Test Engineers you continuously improve and innovate our solutions.
As a junior you will have the opportunity to learn and grow within the testing domain. You will be guided by experienced colleagues and gradually develop your expertise in test methodologies system understanding and quality assurance. At the same time your input matters: your test findings help determine whether a software release is ready for the next step.
You will primarily work at our Campus in Maassluis in a workshop environment and you will also have the opportunity to visit test farms to see how our robots perform in practice.
What will you be doing
- Creating and executing test cases for new and existing software functionalities.
- Reviewing test approaches and results together with fellow test engineers.
- Applying different testing methodologies such as risk-based testing and integration testing.
- Analyzing test results and clearly communicating findings to the development team.
- Contributing to quality improvements for new features and software updates.
- Building system knowledge to understand how our robots function as a whole.
Qualifications :
You are curious analytical and enjoy understanding how systems truly work. You gain energy from collaboration and are comfortable asking questions and thinking critically.
In addition you bring:
- A bachelor-level working and thinking capability (a technical degree is a plus).
- Approximately 12 years of experience; internships or graduation projects in software or testing are also relevant.
- Affinity with software and technology.
- The ability to define structured test cases and work in a systematic way.
- Good command of the English language both written and spoken.
- Experience with robotics or Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus but not required.
Aanvullende informatie :
Working at Lely means contributing to sustainable progress within one of the most innovative organizations in the Netherlands. You help make the agricultural sector future-proof. We make sure you have the space resources and support you need to grow and do your best work.
- An international environment where collaboration initiative and diverse perspectives are valued
- A culture that encourages learning experimentation and ownership of ideas.
- Excellent working conditions including up to 8 weeks of vacation per year and a good pension scheme.
- A full-time salary range between 4200 and 6000 gross per month with room for growth within the scale.
- Control over your own development with access to a wide range of courses through the Lely Academy
- Daily access to excellent sports facilities on the Lely Campus: an indoor gym outdoor padel courts basketball and volleyball courts table tennis and table soccer. You can join Hyrox workouts or sign up for personal training - and challenge your colleagues during an active break.
- Fresh coffee and tea from our own barista (with milk from our farm) and a healthy affordable company restaurant
