Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptionally experienced and strategic Senior Manager - Risk to join our organisation in Makkah Saudi this pivotal role you will provide visionary leadership in developing implementing and overseeing comprehensive risk management strategies across the entire organisation. You will partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify assess and mitigate organisational risks whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Your extensive expertise will drive the evolution of our risk culture and position risk management as a strategic enabler of business success.

  • Establish and evolve enterprise risk management frameworks and policies that align with organisational objectives regulatory requirements and emerging best practices
  • Conduct strategic risk assessments across all business units to identify analyse and prioritise potential risks to organisational operations and long-term strategic goals
  • Design and execute sophisticated risk mitigation strategies and action plans ensuring timely implementation effectiveness and continuous improvement
  • Oversee the evaluation and testing of internal controls to ensure they adequately address identified risks and evolve with the changing risk landscape
  • Prepare comprehensive risk reports executive summaries and strategic dashboards for senior management and the Board presenting findings and recommendations with clarity insight and actionable recommendations
  • Lead mentor and develop the risk management team fostering a culture of risk awareness accountability and continuous learning throughout the organisation
  • Monitor regulatory changes and evolving risk landscapes proactively ensuring the organisation remains compliant with Saudi Arabian and international standards whilst anticipating future regulatory developments
  • Collaborate strategically with stakeholders across finance operations compliance and audit functions to embed risk management into core business processes and decision-making frameworks
  • Establish and refine key risk indicators (KRIs) and performance metrics to track risk exposure management effectiveness and organisational resilience
  • Design and deliver comprehensive training and awareness programmes to enhance organisational understanding of risk management principles responsibilities and the organisations risk appetite
  • Review and approve risk-related documentation ensuring consistency with established frameworks regulatory guidelines and strategic objectives
  • Provide strategic advisory support to the Board and executive leadership on emerging risks risk appetite and risk-based strategic decisions

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience in risk management with at least 7 years in senior management or executive leadership capacity
  • Extensive expertise in enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks methodologies and best practices across multiple business cycles
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements particularly within the Saudi Arabian and GCC regulatory environment with demonstrated track record of successful regulatory navigation
  • Advanced proficiency in risk assessment techniques financial risk analysis operational risk evaluation and emerging risk identification
  • Expert-level proficiency with data analysis tools advanced Excel modeling business intelligence platforms and enterprise risk management software systems
  • Proven ability to design develop and implement sophisticated risk governance structures internal control frameworks and risk-based decision-making processes
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to address complex multi-faceted organizational risks
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities with proven capability to articulate complex risk concepts to C-suite executives Board members and diverse stakeholder groups
  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience with a strong track record of building mentoring and managing high-performing risk management teams and cross-functional risk committees
  • Advanced organizational and strategic project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities and drive enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Strategic thinking capability with demonstrated ability to align risk management initiatives with organizational objectives and drive business value
  • Professional certification in risk management (such as ERM COSO ISO 31000 or equivalent) is required; additional certifications (CRO CRMA or similar) are highly valued
  • Extensive experience in financial services insurance banking or highly regulated industries is required
  • Strong familiarity with Islamic finance principles and Saudi Arabian business practices is preferred
  • Proficiency in Arabic language is preferred but not required
