Responsibilities may include:
This role is responsible for product definition for RF clock synthesizers buffers and BAW oscillators. Systems engineer deeply focus on understanding the technical needs challenges and future trends of a customer end equipment then define new products and innovate forward-looking product roadmap to solve them.
- Systems engineers are typically responsible for supporting a product from conception to release in the area ofspecification tradeoffs design reviews specification compliance initial customer support and technical engagement.
- Research and create new product definitions including developing business case proposals product strategies and taking products to release to market
- System engineer needs to evaluate and prioritize the roadmap parts
- Identify key end equipments and associated product gaps and validate/negotiate with key customers and sales team
- Develops detailed technical definitions for new products develop system validation and verification plan and schedules. Work with designers to close the loop with the feedback received from customers and sales throughout the initial development cycle
- Write the product datasheet specification. Conduct datasheet reviews with application engineers and other stakeholders to ensure completeness of datasheet
- Perform Trade-offs understand the competitive landscape
- Participate in new silicon testing from an systems engineer perspective to ensure robustness of the product.
- Work with applications engineer to provide support to early design in activities for new products.
- Work with apps to create custom reference designs targeting relevant applications to be used as customer implementation ideas.
- Lead and Support whole product launch activities. Work closely with marketing program management engineering apps and validation teams for execution and launch of new products/existing product enhancements.
- Assess and negotiate IC development tradeoffs with design team and customers
- Be the technical expert responsible for product ramp up for the customer
- Application support for newly introduced and existing products. Develop and provide training for customers and the field teams.
QualificationsMinimum requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering ECE or related field
- 2-6 years of relevant experience
- Experience inhardware board design;schematic capture with any PCB design software
- Solid hardware debugging skills
- Strong technical background with the ability to produce high quality technical documentation
- Expertise in technical documentation including EVM Users Guide application notes design notes and white papers.
- Good understanding on customer development timelines
- Schematic and layout review of customer application
- Strong understanding of analog/mixed-signal ICs and their application
- Experience promoting/marketing ICs and driving design wins by providing system solutions
- Strong customer facing skills
- Familiarity with lab equipment
- System level circuit modeling with EDA tools SPICE Matlab
Preferred qualifications:
- Familiarity with signal integrity analysis power integrity analysis and EMI/EMC considerations in PCB design
- Familiar with the use of all necessary lab equipment: oscilloscope power supplies gain/phase analyzers multi-meters solder station etc.
- Experience with hardware/software integration board bring-up & debug
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
- Demonstrated ability to build strong influential relationships
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
- Having experience with Clocking related products will be a plus
