Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities specific to all NTA Service Deliverables:

  • Undertaking regular and on-going compliance checks and audits of SPSV vehicles drivers and dispatch operators
  • Identification and investigation of offences and potential offences under legislation relating to SPSVs and their drivers/passengers
  • The collection recording and processing of evidence and evidential exhibits
  • The compilation and presentation of case files to prosecution level together with regular court attendances as required nationwide
  • Investigating recording and resolving complaints from passengers intending passengers drivers and operators of SPSVs and the general public
  • Effective use of the National Transport Authority IT systems to record all compliance activity undertaken and assist in on-going compliance activity
  • The assessment of compliance information including the most appropriate and effective response and the ability to report on such assessments to assist the National Transport Authoritys overall compliance strategy.
  • Working with An Garda Síochána and other enforcement agencies to enforce small public service vehicle and driver legislation
  • Provision of advice and support to drivers and passengers of SPSVs and other agencies in relation to the National Transport Authoritys activities
  • Day-to-day management of routine administration/reporting functions relating to new and ongoing compliance activities and complaints
  • Adherence to all legal and administrative requirements relating to the position
  • Ensure full compliance with the Companys Code of Integrity & Professional Conduct and at all times adopt behaviour in accordance with SGS Equality & Diversity policy.
  • At all times adopt a safe and professional behaviour by exercising due regard for the health and safety of yourself colleagues and members of the public in line with the Companys policies and procedures.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate would possess the following attributes/ skillsets;

  • Minimum of Leaving Certificate qualification
  • Applicants must have a current full clean driving licence (Category B vehicles)
  • Strong Learning Capabilities
  • Strong Computer Skills & general PC Proficiency to manage the various databases and processes.
  • Proactively takes initiative and works well on their own and as part of a team.
  • Have the confidence to take responsibility for the achievement of objectives.
  • Strong time management skills and excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and efficiently meet challenging deadlines.
  • Lead by example and demonstrate SGS values is critical.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English excellent documentation skills required.
