Senior Data Analyst (Core) (mfd)

To strengthen our data-driven decision-making across the business we are expanding our Data & Analytics team. We are therefore looking for a Senior Data Analyst (Core) (m/f/d) to join us full-time.
This is a hybrid role with a primary location at our Berlin office on Chausseestraße.

Your role in a team

As a Senior Data Analyst youll be a versatile analytical partner working directly with the Lead Data Strategist to drive insights across multiple business functions. Youll extend analytical support to areas without dedicated data analysts lead strategic cross-functional projects and help shape our self-service analytics landscape. This is an exciting and challenging role! It is ideal for someone who thrives on variety can context-switch between business domains and wants to develop their strategic skills.

Your responsibilities include:

• Provide analytical support to business functions without dedicated analysts
• Work directly with the Lead Data Strategist to deliver high-impact strategic analyses and cross-functional projects
• Develop and maintain data visualisations and dashboards collaborating with the Data Platform team on the underlying data models
• Translate complex business questions into structured analytical approaches and present insights to stakeholders ranging from analysts to C-level
• Respond to urgent analytical requests investigate data quality issues and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement

What you need to be successful

Must-have

• 5 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence roles ideally in B2C or growth environments
• Strong SQL proficiency and excellent data visualisation skills using at least one modern BI tool (e.g. Metabase Looker Tableau Power BI or similar)
• Ability to work independently across multiple projects translating business questions into insights and presenting results to stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus)

Nice-to-have

• Experience across more than one data domain (e.g. marketing sales operations product finance)
• Experience with dbt for data transformation models
• Background in insurtech fintech or other regulated industries
• Mentoring or coaching experience with analysts or business users
