Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: Tower of London
Salary: Above Real living wage
Contract Type: Fixed term maternity cover
Typical Hours: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday
Were looking for reliable and skilled Grounds Maintenance Operatives to support the delivery of high-quality grounds services across Tower of London. What youll be responsible for:
Carrying out routine and specialist grounds maintenance tasks including grass cutting strimming hedge trimming spraying pruning and litter picking.
Operating a range of equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
Maintaining tools vehicles and PPE to a high standard and reporting any defects.
Recording completed work using mobile technology (training provided).
Working collaboratively with your team to meet quality and performance targets.
What were looking for:
Previous experience in a similar grounds maintenance role
A good understanding of health & safety procedures and safe equipment use
Full UK driving license (preferred)
Spraying qualifications (PA1 & PA6) and/or horticultural certification (desirable)
A proactive professional attitude and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
