Inyourinternshipat agloballyleadingmedicaltechnologycompanyyoullberightinthemiddleoftheaction:Our team is specialized in the development of clinical navigation systems for minimally invasive ENT surgery. Clinical navigation systems (StrykerScopisSystem) are used to guide surgeons by displaying the position of medical instruments on three-dimensional CT or MRI data of the patient andultimately toprecisely reach anatomical targets. The team uses the latest technologies such as computer vision augmentedrealityand AI for computer-assisted surgery.

Youwilllearnandthelatesttechnologiesinmachinevisioncomputergraphics human-computerinteractionandinteractivesystems.
YouwillhavetheopportunitytodevelopprototypesforourSurgicalNavigation System and supportourteamwithyourproof-of-conceptapplication.
YouwillimplementyoursolutionusingCorPython andMatlabandevaluateitin anecosystemconsistingofstate-of-the-artnavigationandimagingsystems.
Youwillbeanactivememberofourinternational andinterdisciplinaryresearchanddevelopmentteam.

Youarestudyingforamastersdegreeincomputersciencemedicalengineeringmathematicsphysicsoracomparablesubject.
You have experience with object-oriented programming languages (C/C) script languages (e.g.PythonMatlab)andpreferably libraries (OpenCV Qt DCMTK).
Youhaveagoodgraspofmathematics.
Youwanttotacklechallengingproblemsinmedicalengineering.
YouhaveagoodcommandofEnglish andideallyagoodcommandofGerman.
Youworkindependentlyarehighlymotivatedandcommitted andarepreparedtotakeonresponsibilityquickly.

Duration of your internship: 6 months (full-time)
