Job Summary
Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee Oklahotel (Pty) Ltd. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotels employment policies and practices including hiring firing discipline staffing compensation benefits and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International Inc.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to Marriott brand standards.
Ensure consistent quality taste and presentation of all dishes.
Follow recipes portion controls and plating guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned kitchen sections.
Adhere strictly to food safety hygiene and sanitation standards (HACCP).
Assist with receiving storing and rotating food products.
Support senior chefs during busy service periods.
Contribute ideas for menu development and daily specials when appropriate.
Ensure proper use and care of kitchen equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Culinary diploma or relevant certification preferred.
Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Flexibility to work shifts weekends and holidays.
Passion for cooking and willingness to learn.
